The Tortoise and the Eagle

Join us online for our family program Stories and Art, where we tell stories and look at art together! This month’s story, based on one of Aesop’s fables, “The Tortoise and the Eagle,” is about a tortoise who learns a very important lesson. The story is paired with an etching by Wenceslaus Hollar (1665). As you listen to the story, notice what details you see in the artwork. Then, using a piece of paper and a pencil, draw and write about what the world would look like from a tortoise’s or bird’s perspective. We can’t wait to see what you create!
