The Bald Parrot

Join us online for our family program Stories and Art, where we tell stories and look at art together. Listen to the story of “The Bald Parrot,” which has been adapted from a story called “El loro pelado” by Horacio Quiroga. While you listen, take a look at two objects from the Art of the Ancient Americas collection and a painting by the artist James Prosek. You will meet a happy parrot named Pedrito and his grumpy friend, the wild cat. After the story, get your pencil and paper ready! We will look more closely at Prosek's painting Paradise Lost 1 and think about what colors the animals might be.
