It includes 118 islands and atolls, which are grouped into five beautiful archipelagos (the Society Islands, the Tuamotu Archipelago, the Marquesas Islands, the Austral Islands, and the Gambier Islands). For ease of travel and to see the most iconic sites, we focused our trip on the Society Islands. These are renowned for their volcanic peaks, lush interiors, and pristine turquoise lagoons.
