For nearly fifty years, nature photographer Jean-François Hellio has watched the Brenne, one of France’s most mysterious wetland regions, transform through the seasons. Drawn there in the 1970s by its lakes, birds, forests, and wild silence, he made it his home in 1980 and has spent a lifetime photographing its hidden world. Through his eyes, the Brenne becomes a living paradise: thousands of migratory ducks gathering on frozen lakes, great egrets arriving from the east, kingfishers fighting to survive the ice, stags bellowing in the darkness, pond turtles laying eggs under the cover of night, and cranes filling the sky in one of nature’s most beautiful spectacles. But beneath this beauty lies a growing sadness. The wetlands Jean-François once knew are changing. Lakes that were once rich with plants, insects, amphibians, and birds are becoming empty reflecting pools. Climate change, habitat loss, and human pressure are slowly breaking the fragile balance between people and nature. Both intimate and urgent, this documentary is a love letter to the Brenne and a warning about what could be lost. It captures the wonder of wild life, the patience of a photographer, and the quiet resilience of nature when given the chance to recover. #NatureDocumentary #WildlifeDocumentary #Brenne #FranceNature #Wetlands #Birds #NaturePhotography #Wildlife #ClimateChange #Conservation #PondTurtle #Kingfisher #Cranes #NatureFilm #FullDocumentary Chapters: ▷ 00:00 - A Photographer’s Paradise in the Brenne ▷ 02:24 - Winter Lakes and Migrating Birds ▷ 05:55 - The Arrival of the Great Egrets ▷ 07:25 - When the Brenne Becomes Little Siberia ▷ 10:38 - The Secret Life of Stags ▷ 19:41 - Kingfishers and Spring Waters ▷ 20:46 - The Ancient European Pond Turtle ▷ 22:47 - Nesting Season on the Lakes ▷ 27:44 - A Turtle’s Journey to Lay Eggs ▷ 31:09 - Whiskered Terns and Life Above the Water ▷ 34:33 - The Birth of the Chicks ▷ 40:40 - The Miracle of Young Turtles ▷ 41:43 - A Fragile Paradise Under Threat ▷ 44:35 - Hidden Wildlife and Reasons for Hope ▷ 47:31 - Nature’s Resilience and the Return of Cranes ▷ 51:02 - End Credits ------- Subscribe to wocomoWILDLIFE: https://goo.gl/L5puvQ Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wocomo ------- Original title: Fragiles: The Brenne Ponds A film by Patrick Luneau and Nicolas van Ingen © 2020, Only Distrib ------- Videos about animals, aquatic life and nature: wocomoWILDLIFE offers high-quality entertainment.
