Gun violence can change the lives of survivors, friends, family and the larger community. It can make people fearful for their lives, untrusting of the people around them and even lead to PTSD, depression and anxiety. Trauma can impact all aspects of life from relationships to education to employment. But treating that trauma before it gets worse can start where someone would get physical treatment for a gunshot wound: the hospital. Reset learns about efforts to bring resources to survivors and their families experiencing violence. Guests: Dr. Ted Corbin, professor and chairperson for the Department of Emergency Medicine, RUSH University Medical Center Dr. John Rich, director, RUSH BMO Institute for Health Equity
