WBEZ's Prisoncast! and Chicago's Mud Theatre Project present "The Story of Violence"

WBEZ's Prisoncast! and Chicago's Mud Theatre Project teamed up with an ensemble of formerly incarcerated actors & writers to broadcast a new radio play this fall. "The Story of Violence," based on an award-winning script by playwrights at Dixon Correctional Center in Illinois, examines Chicago’s gun violence problem through five characters’ perspectives as their lives intersect at a downtown hotel room. The play was performed for a studio audience in November, and broadcast on public radio stations across the state. Prisoncast! also recorded this video to share.
