In this video I play a shamble with another player's drives. I wanted to see what I would shoot on a very difficult wind day if I had the opportunity to use a better and longer player's drives. Heads up to Michael Block, it's not as easy as it looks. It was a hard 9 holes of golf. A golf shamble is a popular format in team golf tournaments, combining elements of both scramble and stroke play formats. Here’s how a typical shamble works: Team Formation: Teams are usually made up of 2-4 players. Tee Shots: All players on the team hit a tee shot.Selecting the Best Shot: The team selects the best tee shot among them. Individual Play: After choosing the best tee shot, each player plays their own ball from that spot. Scoring: The team can choose to use the best individual score among the team members for each hole or a predetermined number of the best scores (e.g., the best two scores in a four-person team). The shamble format allows for team collaboration on the tee shots, similar to a scramble, while still allowing players to play their own ball for the remainder of the hole, making it a blend of team strategy and individual play.
