Excellent short game Breaking 80 is statistically about eliminating double bogies more than anything else. There's nothing worse than missing a green, chipping on and then 3 putting for double. If you can minimize three putts you'll avoid more doubles. If your short game is strong, then rarely will you chip onto the green and 3 putt. Watch this video to see how I avoid making doubles and give myself chances for pars and birdies. This was not a great ball striking round but by not 3 putting and hitting it relatively close on 14, 16 and 17 when I missed the green I avoided costly double bogies.
