Breaking 70 in golf is a milestone that all golfers aspire to. Shooting in the 70s generally means you are making more pars than bogeys and you've truly crossed the threshold from fairly good golfer to a good golfer. While it doesn't make you even close to being a pro it does make you well above average. Here's a secret about golf they don't tell you when you are young. You really don't need to hit the ball that far to succeed. It's more important to hit it straight and consistent. A good short game helps too.
