RETRO Machines Meeting Announcement!! Sunday 17 October in the Homecomputermuseum, The Netherlands I have a big announcement! The covid rules in the Netherlands make it now possible to do a RETRO Machines meeting in the HomeComputerMuseum in the Netherlands!!! Sunday 17 October I want to invite you all to the museum in Helmond in the South of the Netherlands. We start at 10:00 till 17:00. We can play on all the Computers!! Bart van den Akker will give tours. Anne Bras his world record collection of boxed video games are on display! Tickets can be bought at the door! The museum bar is open. The only covid rule is if you are sick stay home, also when people around you are sick don't come. We will make a long awesome video with the help of Brittany So let me know if you want to come! However, we are allowed to check if you come in and are coughing or have a cold or so. There's also no need to reserve tickets (and frankly, I don't really have an option to open at 10:00 for one day). Tickets are €8,88. We only have Pin/Credit card payment option. Cash is rounded up to the first whole number 😉 Parking around the museum is paid and around €2,20 an hour (Parkmobile is used for most places). If you don't mind walking, on 10 minutes walk is a free parking. Set your navigation to "hoek Anna van Eerkerenstraat / Torenstraat" and you'll find it. We're about 7 minutes walk from the trainstation Helmond Centrum and there's also a bus stopping in the street (not sure about the schedule, but we're at the Noord Koninginnewal). There's drinks in the museum (€2,00 a can) or coffee/tea (€1,00). We also sell chips and apples (that's the only food we have). However, we're situated in the city center and have plenty of places around us where you can get a better meal. FAQ: Yes, you can ask to show you our storage and we will too. Yes, you can play on all computers. Yes, we have a LAN-gaming setup with a few P4 machines No, we don't allow dogs. Yes, we are an official museum. No, you can't have items from the museum. Yes, we have stuff for sale.
