Designing a Retro Lan Party Network with HP Procurve 5308XL Switches & Wifi Lets design a retro lan party network setup! My core switched will be the Awesome HP procurve 5308XL together with the HP 5304XL and the HP 2610. The lan party will be with pentium 3 systems and most ports are 10/100. But also gbit ports for modern streaming systems on the lan and servers etc. Between the switches I will make 4gbit trunks over Fiber. Also I have 3 HP acces points so I also will make a retro Wifi setup 11 and 54mbit. The network will be a bit overkill...... But the switches are super cheap and really awesome!
