In this video, I tested the LeeKooLuu LK11 OBD2 scanner on a real check engine light situation so I could figure out what was going on without guessing. I plugged it in and it powered right up—no setup headache—and I jumped straight into scanning. The scanner pulled multiple codes and showed monitor status (I/M readiness), and I walked through reading the trouble codes on-screen so you can see exactly what you’d get at home instead of relying on a parts store scan. I also used it on a Ford Escape that’s been throwing codes like P1450 (what we saw at AutoZone) and P0456, even after replacing the purge valve assembly and disconnecting the battery. I tried erasing the codes and hit a “failed to erase” message at first, then realized the engine needed to be off. After turning the vehicle off and back on, the check engine light cleared, and a rescan showed “No codes are stored.” I also unboxed it and kept it real: the bag isn’t very recyclable, the manual is basically unnecessary, and you’ll be clicking the OK button a lot—but overall it’s plug-and-play and easy to use.
