UZBEKISTAN HONORS WWII HEROES ON DAY OF MEMORY AND HONOR
May 9 is the Day of Memory and Honor. Every year on this day, the victims of World War II are remembered, and the status of veterans is reported. A flower-laying ceremony was held at the "Matonat Madhiyasi" memorial complex in Victory Park, Almazar district of Tashkent. The complex was built in memory of Zulfiya Zakirova, who lost five of her sons in the war.
