About This Video

In this video I’m basically sitting you down like a big sister and telling you the 10 things I WISH I knew before starting the IB—because I went into it with zero predicted grades and somehow still ended up with a 42/45 (like… insane). I’m not doing an ā€œIB is easyā€ fantasy, but I am telling you the truth: IB is not that hard when you stop romanticising suffering and start working smart, not hard. I walk you through what my study schedule actually looked like, how I planned, and how much time I *really* studied (spoiler: not 10 hours a day). I also get super practical about subject choices (HL vs SL) and who IB is actually for—especially if you’re bilingual/multilingual, comfortable with essays, and can handle a heavy research workload. Then we get into the scary acronyms: IA, EE, HL Essay, TOK Essay—how to choose topics that don’t ruin your life and how to structure your effort so it actually pays off. I share my favourite resources, how I prioritised what was worth my time, and how I learned to understand what examiners want so my work hit the mark. And yes, we talk burnout. I’m big on enjoying the process while still excelling, and I also explain how I used AI efficiently, effectively, and ethically—aka using your tools without sabotaging yourself.
