oh man this is a big video (for me at least) and i'm honestly a bit nervous on how it'll be received but you know what they say 📣 YOLO 📣 for the last few weeks i've been feeling SUPER overwhelmed with the amount of plants that needs to be taken care of, and i'm realizing that this just isn't sustainable long term. i think i've been justifying the sheer size of my collection solely on the fact that i'm a plant youtuber, and without plants i have no content, but tbh there's no point in having quantity over quality if i'm miserable 🤷‍♀️ so this week i finally did the unthinkable and purged 20+ FULL plants-- some that i've had since the beginning of my aroid collecting hobby and some that i never imagined i'd ever part with. it's been a hard process but also a satisfying one, and if you've been in the same boat i hope this inspires you to just finally do it and reclaim some of your time back! i also talked in depth about how plant collecting has changed for me in the last couple of years and possibly if i'd ever leave the hobby altogether one day.
