About This Video

Hi guys—this video is a super quick (but very emotional) unboxing because I genuinely think this is my biggest vinyl ISO ever. I had literally just gotten home, natural lighting was gone, and I saw this huge box on my porch and immediately knew it had to be from Thuy. I wanted to film my real reaction because I have been hunting for her “Girls Like Me Don’t Cry” vinyl for months, and it’s basically impossible to find now (I even saw a Discogs listing for like $260, which was just
sad). I talk a little bit about why this record means so much to me—Thuy is one of my favorite artists ever, she’s a Vietnamese American artist, and I even got to see her in concert earlier this year with a meet & greet. She did a giveaway for the three-year anniversary of “Girls Like Me Don’t Cry,” and somehow I won
and yes, this box was it. The best part? The signature is on the vinyl jacket (which I love), and everything inside looked really good minus a couple small dings. My biggest takeaway: when it comes to vinyl from independent artists, you really do have to grab it when you can. I used to second guess paying extra for shipping, and now both “Girls Like Me Don’t Cry” and even “Wings” are hard to find—so trust me, don’t wait.
