In this video, I’m taking you with me to see Lyn Lapid at her hometown show at the 9:30 Club—and I was genuinely so excited (even though it was a Wednesday night and we were running late). I’m a teacher and I had only five days of school left, so this felt like a little end-of-year celebration. We grabbed Wendy’s first, then headed over, found our spots, and just soaked in the whole experience. Hearing Lyn talk about how she played a smaller venue a few years ago and now she’s packing the 9:30 Club was such a full-circle moment. After the concert, I do a little merch mini-haul and show the two pieces I picked up. I knew I wanted a tour date shirt, but I also impulse-bought the cute baby tee after seeing someone in the balcony wearing it—and I’m glad I did. I do have a real complaint though: the “Buzz” on the front of my tour shirt faded a lot after one careful wash (inside out), while the back still looks totally fine, which is super confusing. Overall, I’m still really happy I went, and it’s wild to think I found Lyn from a TikTok ad for signed vinyl and now I’m fully a huge fan.
