Hi guys, it’s Trinh, and in this video I finally did my very first vinyl unboxing on the channel—because August was way too eventful to keep opening packages off-camera. I’m unboxing two releases that dropped super close together: Laufey’s third album, “A Matter of Time” (Aug 22), and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” (Aug 29). I go through what I ordered, what actually showed up, and all the little packaging details I obsess over—like signed inserts, gatefold photos, inner sleeves, and how the pressings look in real life. For Laufey, I unbox the signed CD (even though I barely use my CD player—I wanted that signed insert) and the “Morning Edition” sunrise gold vinyl with a note from Laufey plus a bonus 7-inch. I also open the Bad World feather variant, which is stunning and heavy, but I’m genuinely nervous about cleaning it because it looks like layered pressings. Then Sabrina comes to the stage—because yes, I went a little wild with variants. I show the indie exclusive seafoam LP from a listening party (I bought it mainly for the poster), talk about her Taylor Swift-style staggered variant rollout, and unbox multiple alt covers including signed editions. I also open “Emails I Can’t Send Fwd” and get real about the online complaints: no gatefold, no insert, basic packaging, and worries about sound quality—so I’m basically going to test it and see for myself.
