Last week, the U.S. Federal Government made the first step toward enacting President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill", a massive, one-thousand--plus page piece of legislation that hides a massive amount of sweeping measures inside what should be a traditional budget bill. Aside from massive cuts to social programs, increased tax bills for the poorest members of society, and massive tax breaks for the wealthiest, the bill -- currently only passed by the House of Representatives and now making its way through the Senate -- proposes many measures that civil rights advocates state are against the U.S. Constitution. And of course, for EV owners, a massive set of changes eliminating all Federal incentives for EVs and clean energy while promoting further fossil fuel extraction and use.
