About This Video

This week I let a spinner wheel fully control what I read, because apparently I love chaos and learning things the hard way. The whole point was to push me out of my cozy little comfort-zone bubble (hi, romantasy and dark romance, I love you) and knock out some genres for my anti-brainrot reading challenge. So I set the rules, spun for a genre, and then had to pick something from my shelves/TBR that actually fit—no weaseling, no “close enough,” just vibes and consequences. Over the week I bounce through a few very-not-my-default genres—mystery/historical fiction, sci-fi, and memoir—checking in with you as I go with thoughts, mini reactions, and the inevitable “wait…do I like this?” moments. I also do a little bullet journal update to track the challenge progress, because if I’m going to spiral, I might as well do it in a cute spread. If you’re in a slump, stuck rereading the same thing, or you want a fun way to diversify your TBR without overthinking it, this spinner wheel method is genuinely such a silly little reset.
