About This Video

In this video I fully admit I don’t know anything anymore (affectionate), and then I try to fix it by building myself a personal curriculum for Gothic lit + medieval books. This is my first “term” of self-directed learning for the anti-brainrot reading challenge, and I walk you through how I pick the books, what I’m hoping to get out of them, and how I’m structuring the vibe so it feels like a real little syllabus instead of me panic-scrolling and calling it research. I do reading updates as I go—starting with my first pick, then choosing a second and third book—plus I sprinkle in the cozy stuff that keeps me actually consistent: a haul moment, a craft/journaling project, and some general life/reading check-ins. If you’ve been wanting to read outside your usual lanes (or you’re a romantasy reader who wants to understand the roots of the dark, dramatic, gothic atmosphere we love), this is basically me showing you how I’m making “classic” and “older” texts feel approachable, fun, and doable.
