In this video I’m building my 2026 TBR for a buzzword title reading challenge—BUT with one very important rule: BIPOC authors only. I’m pulling a little bit of everything because that’s my favorite way to keep a challenge fun and actually doable: romantasy (obviously), dark romance, queer picks, cowboy romance, horror, memoir/non-fiction, fantasy, historical… the whole chaotic bookshelf buffet. If you’re also trying to plan ahead without sucking all the joy out of reading, this is very much a “let’s make it cozy and silly and still intentional” kind of TBR. The main takeaway: you can absolutely do a themed challenge while still reading widely, and you don’t have to pick between “good recommendations” and “good vibes.” I’m here to make the TBR planning feel like a game, not homework.
