New Klein Mini Ratchet — Best Of Many?.

Klein’s new slim mini bit ratchet has been getting a lot of attention lately, so I picked one up to see how it actually feels in hand and how it stacks up against some tools I already use. Honestly, I liked it more than I expected. It’s well made, feels solid, and the ratchet action is better than I thought it would be. Klein clearly aimed this at the trades — electricians, HVAC installers, Handymen, etc. — with the finger ring, compact size, and carry-friendly design. In that context, it makes a lot of sense. From a mechanic’s perspective, though, it’s more of a nice option than a must-have. It doesn’t replace other bit ratchets, handles, or modular setups, but it does a few things well and earns its place depending on how you work and what you already own.
