The American Basswood, low heat output but great for wood carving Wood Wednesday
This week's featured tree species is the American Basswood or also known as the American Linden tree. I love putting some of this wood species on my sawmill any chance I get. It is a great wood for wood carving and it cuts really easy. Drying time is quick as well. What else could a wood guy ask for?
