I'm hoping to explain things better in this one... When life feels uncertain, I always return to the same place, my art and journals. In this video, I’m sharing how art journaling and painting have become my safe space during a time of change, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm. Annnndddd.... Recently, the future of my studio has become uncertain, and while I don’t have all the answers yet, I’m learning how to stay grounded without rushing for certainty. Instead of panicking, I’m making small, steady plans and allowing art to hold me while things unfold. I’m also talking about why I keep returning to mermaids in my art and journaling, as symbols of liminal spaces, emotional depth, and learning how to feel without drowning. Art has never been about productivity for me; I'm quite a slow worker... it’s about regulation, healing, process, safety, and somewhere to land.
