A few moments to B R E A T H E

A few thousand starlings dip and swoop in this awe-inspiring sunset murmuration. A breathtaking experience and an enchanting spectacle. Filmed on my recent journey back from the Highlands. (https://youtu.be/La8_HLKrWew) We don't actually know why starlings do these acrobatics in the sky. Some think it's to gather in numbers to protect from birds of prey and also a time when they communicate with each other. The dance of these starlings was utterly breathtaking and during some parts of it, I actually couldn't breathe! I was so fortunate to be able to capture it on film. There is still beauty in our world! Come and take a few moments with me to b r e a t h e with these birds & send out a blessing or prayer to our mother earth during these very challenging times. Blessings go especially towards our Ohio, Turkey & Syria friends & other affected regions. (Or anywhere else indeed, for our news channels vary so much in what they report to us) Air, land, water, trees, plant beings and all living creatures From the RSPB website regarding the decline in numbers of Starlings ~ Despite the incredible size of the flocks, starling numbers are just a fraction of what they used to be. Huge starling flocks used to gather over Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast, but today you have a much better chance of seeing the birds in rural areas. The starling population has fallen by more than 80 per cent in recent years, meaning they are now on the critical list of UK birds most at risk. The decline is believed to be due to the loss of permanent pasture, increased use of farm chemicals and a shortage of food and nesting sites in many parts of the UK. I’m actually praying for a healing miracle, as sadly, I have little faith in the powers that seem to be... I do, however, believe that our words and thoughts carry energy and matter greatly so a small intention, blessing or prayer may seem futile but this is not the case. It's a form of remote meditation and vibrational healing and there is science behind it. And, of course, if we all do it, the energy is multiplied. I think it is so easy to fall down the well of doom (I do it, believe me...) but, lifting ourselves out, finding a small crumb of hope, believing in miracles, (I do!) lifts us, each other, our surroundings and ultimately the whole planet. So keep shining out there, even if it's only a faint twinkle... We may be small but we are many & mighty! With the Biggest of Loves, Wendy.
