Do you ever get choppy playback while video editing? Well you shouldn't... See, I didn't know that before, and I have tested many computers for video editing over the years but all of the Windows ones have been terrible, especially when compared to the MacBook Pros... why?! I FINALLY figured out what was going on and that's what I want to share today. If you plan on buying or building a computer in the near future to edit videos with please make sure you know what took me YEARS to learn. HERE is the link to the Puget Systems page that shows which CPU/GPU's support hardware decoding in Resolve: https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/what-h-264-and-h-265-hardware-decoding-is-supported-in-davinci-resolve-studio-2122/ Also, if you aren't able to change the codec on your camera to one your computer supports then you should use PROXIES to make the experience smooth. I made a video how to do that easily you can watch here: https://youtu.be/t-E0lKU9vPQ If you like what I'm doing and are able to support the channel with more than just a like/sub/comment I would really appreciate it.
