In this video I’m playing with the new Huda Beauty Strawberry Latte collection and swatching everything on my brown skin (please excuse my voice—I caught a little cold when I got back to Dubai). This whole drop had me excited because it just screams brown-skin friendly, from the tones to how wearable everything looks. I start with the lip stains (they’re not new, but they’re included with the new glosses), and I show you my fave shade, Soft Nude. The key with these stains is: wipe your lips clean first—no balm, no makeup—so the color actually stains and shows up even on my two-tone pigmented lips. Then I swatch the new Faux Filler glosses that are meant to give that “concealer lips” vibe—Light Sealer, Mid Sealer, and Rich Sealer. The applicator isn’t my favorite, but the shades are really pretty, and I go in with Mid Sealer for that 90s milky look (I blend with my finger and you can totally add lipstick underneath if you want more depth). The stars for me are the new blushes: Strawberry Latte and Berry Fever. Both build beautifully on brown skin, and Berry Fever gives that hot, flushed summer look—like when I’ve been sitting in the sun. I finish with the Strawberry Latte powder blush palette to set and intensify, plus a touch of shimmer, and overall: brown skin approved. It launches 9th of April.
