Sir Keir Starmer defended Rachel Reeves after Kemi Badenoch accused the chancellor of letting him down over being in a photograph with Andy Burnham as he returned to the House of Commons. At Prime Minister’s Questions, Ms Badenoch said the chancellor prepared for the photograph with Labour’s likely next leader instead of attending the prime minister’s resignation speech on Monday.
