In this video I’m getting Mrs Quince recovered and (hopefully) out of the infirmary by practicing repairs on small dolls. I’m still learning my way around the doll world, so this is very much a “come along while I try things” kind of session—wins, oops, and all. I focus on the tiny, fiddly stuff that can feel intimidating at first, and I treat it like practice instead of pressure. I also make a doll wig without really trying—more of a scrappy, low-stress approach than a perfect, museum-quality method. If you’ve ever looked at a doll that needs help and thought, “I’m going to ruin it,” this is your sign to start with gentle repairs and see what you can do. The big takeaway is that small dolls can be fixed up with patience and a willingness to experiment, and you don’t have to be an expert to get a doll looking cared-for again.
