In this video I’m kicking off Phase 1 of painting my Laundry business exterior, and yes—we’re going for that perfectly rusty, weathered look. I’m still learning as I go (as always), so I’m sharing the wins and the little “oops” right alongside the progress. This is the start of bringing the building’s outside to life, so it looks like it’s been working hard for years—because a laundry business should look like it’s seen some soap, steam, and real-world wear. I also get into the fun business side of the build with supplies for the shop, and I introduce you to Washerwoman Sheilagh. I love adding characters because it instantly makes the whole scene feel like a tiny story instead of just a structure.
