About This Video

Hi dolly friends! In this video I’m kicking around a super fun (and slightly bonkers) dollhouse “property” idea inspired by Anchovy Beach in San Francisco—like something that literally WASHES UP and turns into a tiny scene I can build out. I’m still learning as I go, so you’ll hear me talk through the concept, what I think I can realistically pull off, and where I might totally oops my way into a redesign (which is kind of my brand at this point). I also asked you to drop your ideas in the comments because this one feels like a project that gets better the more dolly brains are on it. I also share a little behind-the-scenes of how I’m collecting historical reference photos (all public domain) and what I’m hoping to capture in miniature—textures, time-worn details, and that “found on the shore” vibe. If you watch past the outro, I included some really cool historical photos to help set the mood and spark ideas. I’m linking a few of my older videos too (like my hangers and Triang dollhouse/furniture deep-dives) in case you want to see the kinds of minis and vintage dollhouse bits I’m pulling inspiration from for this build.
