Watch me build my very first real miniature kit! (I'm not counting the paper stuff). It was easy, fun and I learned lots. Can't wait to do more kits! NOTE I think at one point in the video I say I didn't check fit before sanding. I DID quickly check the fit. 🤨 Please shop Arden Spinhoven's shop! About This Video

In this video I’m building my very first real miniature kit from start to finish (and no, I’m not counting the paper stuff). I go through the whole process like a true beginner—opening everything up, figuring out what’s what, and taking it one step at a time. The big takeaway is that a kit can be easy and genuinely fun, even if you’re still learning as you go (which is very much me). I also share the little “oops” moments along the way, because that’s part of the hobby and I want it to feel doable, not intimidating. I talk about how much I learned just by doing: taking my time, checking fit before I sand (and yes—I did quickly check the fit even if I misspoke at one point), and letting the build teach me what to do next. If you’ve been curious about trying a miniature kit but feel nervous, this is my beginner-friendly, build-with-me proof that you can absolutely jump in. And I definitely left this one excited to do more kits—so consider this the start of a new mini obsession.
