We swing by Carolina Cider Company, a charming roadside shop that sells local Southern favorites—think pies, jams, boiled peanuts, and old-fashioned soda. Before hitting the road, we fuel up at Charleston’s beloved breakfast spot: Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit. Known for their hand-rolled, buttery Southern biscuits, Callie’s is a hidden gem loved by locals and foodies alike. This road trip wasn’t just about the food (though that was amazing). It was about the places most tourists skip. The stories not always told. The food you won’t find in guidebooks.
