Hiiiii, I’m Vic—and this weekend vlog is basically a chaotic little highlight reel of the best kind of life stuff: muddy adventure energy, best-friend joy, and family celebrations. I’m taking you with me to Hamilton, Ontario to run the iconic 5K mud run (yes, it’s an obstacle course, yes, it’s SO much mud, and yes… a week later I still had mud in my ears). It’s one of those experiences that’s equal parts “why did I sign up for this” and “wait I’m kinda obsessed,” and it made me want to do more fun, active things outside my usual PhD routine. On top of that, I got to see my best friend for the first time in TWO YEARS for her bridal shower, which honestly felt surreal in the best way. There’s something so grounding about getting to show up for your people after a long stretch of grad school life and distance. And then we round out the weekend celebrating my brother Justin turning 28—just sweet, simple family time that makes everything feel a little more balanced.
