Come hang with me for a genuinely balanced day in my life—aka the sweet spot between PhD prep and actually enjoying summer. I start my morning with some puppy time (Romeo the giant schnauzer is simply the main character), then head to the gym for a swim because moving my body is one of the easiest ways for me to feel grounded and energized. It’s very “reset the nervous system” vibes before I switch into productivity mode. Since my PhD starts in September, I also carve out time to get ahead on readings, and I’m wearing my Loop Earplugs while I do it—because focus is cute but distractions are loud. Later, I pick up my student ID (one of those tiny admin tasks that makes everything feel real), pack up, and head to my partner’s place. We do dinner at The Keg Mansion (so fun, so Toronto), and then end the night with Mean Girls the Musical, which is the perfect little treat to cap off the day. If you’re trying to figure out how to balance work and play without burning out, this vlog is basically my real-life attempt at doing exactly that.
