If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know I was in Japan for 11 days and I literally just got back—so I laid everything out on my floor and filmed a huge Japan haul. This isn’t a proper review because I haven’t used most of it yet, but I grouped everything into categories so it’s easier to digest: food, household/home bits, fashion, beauty/skincare, and stationery + random cute things. For food, the main highlight is my matcha era. I’m trying to transition from coffee to matcha because coffee side effects have been affecting me, so I picked up Marukyu Koyamaen matcha powders (Aorashi for lattes + Isuzu), plus an instant matcha milk and even a Kyoto matcha set (yes, I got the pink bowl because it’s my favorite color). Home-wise, I went a bit feral at the 100-yen shops—egg makers, storage, travel pouches, pill case, Hello Kitty kitchen clips—and then upgraded my cozy home vibes with woody incense (APFR + Aesop) and my most expensive purchase: a brass incense holder. Fashion was minimal but intentional: a GU lounge set, Zara basics, perfect-fit secondhand white pants, and my Onitsuka Tiger Mexico Delegation in pine green (so much cheaper in Japan). And then… beauty. I stocked up on hair treatments, tried viral makeup/skincare (Perfect Whip, Sofymo cleansing oil, Hatomugi, Sana eye creams), and grabbed those one-time mouthwash packs because I hate the post-lunch mouth feel.
