I took y’all to St. Augustine’s alligator farm (aka a hidden gem… but also like… it smells like 😭). The second I walked in I was like okay wow, there are SO many gators right there and they’re honestly kinda cute… even though the vibe is very “it’s stinky and everyone’s here and everybody’s so rude.” I kept comparing it to Disney/Animal Kingdom because I swear Animal Kingdom don’t smell like this (or maybe it does and I just never noticed because Disney brain). Either way, it was a fun little day out and I was fully in my “gator girl” era… even though sharks still take the crown in my heart. We saw a caiman, huge alligators, and even a tortoise just chilling and sleeping (literally me). And then the surprise fave: the lemurs. I had a whole throwback moment—Madagascar AND Zoboomafoo (only the real ones know). They looked so soft and cuddly I genuinely wanted to take one home with me (respectfully). If you’re in St. Augustine and want an easy, different outing, the gator farm is a solid add to your itinerary—just be prepared for crowds and the… aroma.
