guys… I’m literally breaking up with my Canon G7X (for public vlogging, at least) because she’s just not discreet enough for me. I wanted my vlogging experience to feel more personal and lowkey, especially when I’m outside in public, so I went on a full research spiral—websites, YouTube videos, the whole thing. I was stuck between the DJI Pocket 3 and a GoPro, and I ended up choosing the GoPro Hero 12 Black because I needed something super durable, tiny enough to fit in a lot of my bags, and stress-free if I drop it. in this video I do first impressions + quick test footage in different settings: low light/indoor (all natural lighting in my house) and then outdoors in sun + shade so you can really see the vibe. I also show how I use the GoPro Quik app to connect to my phone, power the camera on, preview, and even start recording from my phone. the big takeaway? the footage is kind of eating outside, but I’m definitely thinking I’ll add the media mod later so the audio is clearer—especially with wind and background noise.
