I’ve been deep in my physical media bag lately (and when I say deep… I mean deep). Streaming is so unpredictable—my favorites keep getting yanked off platforms—so I started DVD hunting with this cute little rule of “only my favorites”… and then that turned into “my favorites + the ones I know I’d love if I ever lost streaming.” In this video I’m showing a huge DVD haul from my usual sourcing spots: thrifting (Goodwill), secondhand stores like 2nd & Charles, Half Price Books-type places, eBay sometimes, and yes…the $5 bin at Walmart because I’m not ashamed. I kick it off with an insane box set grab: Game of Thrones Seasons 1 & 2, fully checked and in good condition. Then I get into the rest of my stack—Star Wars prequels (I watched them out of order and I like these more, sorry), Sharkboy and Lavagirl because I’m a Robert Rodriguez girl, Shutter Island, the full Divergent collection (two still sealed!), and a bunch of comfort classics and faves like Pretty Woman (pinnacle of romance—men don’t yearn anymore, what happened?), 13 Going on 30, Disturbia, and more. I wrap it up with a sealed Spider-Man (2002!) and ask you to tell me if we have the same favorites—because physical media people are truly the minority.
