I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to split rounds with this axe. Most rounds up to 12 inches without knots can be split with one strike. The knotty rounds give it a hard time but this would happen to any axe. The largest rounds I split were 16-18 inches and could be split with 4-6 strikes. There was one other species of tree that was split in this video but I'm not entirely sure what species it was.
