I’m always on the go, so it’s about practical fixes that last and don’t cost the earth. I also get some feed into the ground using what I’ve already got—log ashes. I’ll show you how I use them as a budget-friendly way to give things a boost, and I pair that with mulching using sheep’s wool to help lock moisture in and keep the soil ticking over. Then I finish off with some cuttings—simple, cheap, and a great way to make more plants for nothing. It’s all about using what’s around you, recycling where you can, and keeping the allotment moving forward on a budget.
