After about a year and a half I traded in my Leica Q2. The Q system quickly caught my attention and I was excited about how I could use it for wedding photography. For months it was always in my bag and I would experiment and try new ways to incorporate it into my wedding coverage. I always found the camera to have a terrifically sharp image and it couldn’t have been easier to use. Over time, I became less enamoured by the look of the photos and felt myself wanting to use it less and less. I pulled it out for just one wedding this year and made the decision, almost then and there, that it was time to go. On to something I’ve wanted to have in my bag for years. The prestige, the wonder.
