Under the marketing name WLabs, Wilson unveiled their new tennis racquet concept, Project Shift. At Tennis Express we were fortunate to test out the Project Shift 315, and the lighter Shift 300. More information is starting to surface regarding the shift, but the general idea for Project Shift is to produce a racquet franchise that is primarily focused on spin generation. The racquets have an innovative bending profile built to be stable, yet laterally flexible for controllable power and spin. The Wilson Shift 315 has an 18x20 string pattern, a tapered beam design, and a 99-square-inch head. Wilson released a limited number of these racquets to retailers, with a full retail launch planned for later this summer.
