I really liked gaming on it, but for normal use it was just too big and wide. I was constantly moving my head from left to right to see everything. It was also difficult to drive because it's basically moving around 90% as many pixels as a 4k monitor. However, 3840x1080 is much more manageable. I found the size to be usable as a desktop monitor. It's just like 2 24" 1080p screens, side-by-side. As far as driving this thing, compared to a 1440p screen, it's about 12% more difficult... So, it's not as crazy as 4k, but not quit the same as 1440p. I found it to be a good medium. What are the downsides? Well, 16x9 videos are pillarboxed... even 21x9 movies are pillarboxed. So, this isn't a screen for watching movies. It's really just for gaming and productivity... but gaming.
