A random company claiming to be Microsoft technicians cold called us claiming my computer had viruses. After finding warnings and errors in the error log, it was proven that there MUST be viruses. So I quickly created a virtual machine (with Windows 8.1, no less) and let them do their thing. The installed multiple programs for remote control, and then put a system password (SAM tool) so I couldn't get in (well I supposedly had to pay $6 to get the password). At this point (after wasting an hour of their time) I let him know I was in on his scam and he just wasted his time. The reaction is priceless.
