In this video I unbox and go really in-depth on the vivo X300S, which vivo is positioning as a flagship X-series phone that’s basically a “compact mirrorless / VDSLR” experience. I walk you through the design first—clean and minimal, with four colours, but film green and purple are the standouts. I also talk about the water-drop suspended glass camera bump (it blends into the back nicely), the upgraded cloud-like gauze glass finish, and why the 219g weight actually feels reasonable once you remember this thing is packing a 6.78-inch display and a massive 7100mAh battery. The main focus is cameras. I test the new film-style colour looks—“Chasing Light” for that faded vintage vibe and “Rich” for punchier contrast—and I show how the Blueprint Palette makes it easy to tweak tone and contrast and even save/share presets. I also cover the redesigned camera UI and the upgraded teleconverter accessory that takes you from a native 200mm telephoto out to 400mm, 800mm and even 1600mm, with noticeably better detail at the longer ranges.
