About This Video

Imagine getting a mid-range phone packed with a massive 8,500mAh battery—yeah, that’s exactly what I’m unboxing today: the Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max, an entry-level phone that just launched. In this video I go through the first look and the key stuff that matters, starting with that huge 6.87-inch OLED display. On paper, the specs are actually quite impressive: up to 4,000 nits peak brightness and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and scrolling around the edges feels smooth and responsive. I also talk about what’s powering it: Huawei’s Kirin 8000 chipset with HarmonyOS 6 straight out of the box. For this category, the overall smoothness is quite good, and HarmonyOS brings some genuinely useful AI features—especially the Xiaoyi Assistant, which can give very accurate answers and help you save important dates, addresses, shopping lists, cards, and reminders. You also get a dedicated side X button for quick access, plus features like AI reverse driving for safer use (especially for older family members). Design-wise, it’s got a rounded “deck style” look that feels premium, a more durable suspended armor structure, and IP65 dust/water resistance. And even though it’s entry-level, Huawei still includes a 50MP RYYB main camera, which should be strong in low light. My two biggest highlights here are the HarmonyOS experience and that battery—because it honestly feels like it could push close to two days, and I’ll be testing that properly in a dedicated battery review.
