I used the Mercusys Wi‑Fi 6 router as the core of the £100 network, and for the money it’s honestly a clean, basic setup. You get simple configuration, some channel/channel-width control, and app-based remote management, but the feature depth (and QoS) just isn’t in the same league as UniFi.

Pros
- +Very cheap for a Wi‑Fi 6 router
- +Simple setup flow and clean basic UI
- +Lets you adjust Wi‑Fi channel and channel width
- +Has guest Wi‑Fi isolation
Cons
- -Guest network isn’t a true separate network/VLAN
- -Limited advanced features (VPNs, deeper DHCP options)
- -QoS didn’t seem to work in my testing
