The big idea is that management doesn’t end once you set rules and boundaries. That’s when the real work begins: following through in a way that’s neutral, kind, and predictable, so children feel safe and know exactly what to expect. I walk you through how I think about having a simple classroom management plan, giving choices within boundaries (so kids get some control without running the show), and using logical consequences that actually connect to the behavior. I also explain why consistency matters so much—especially because other children are always watching and learning from how we respond. My goal is to guide behavior without shame, and to treat each moment as a teaching opportunity that builds self-control and responsibility over time.
